About Me and My Team
Originally raised in East London, my parents used to own a well known Pie and Mash shop.
Used as guard dogs for our premises, I was brought up surrounded by German Shepherds, four at a time when I was younger. I am also a member of the BAGSD and am therefore, used to being around both small and large dogs. The picture below left, is with Guy, Buster (puppie) and Max, I was 14 years old.
The picture below right, is of my first Siamese cat, Sid. At 6 years old, I started horse riding lessons and was very fortunate to have owned my own two ponies, my last one being Silver Lady for 23 years.
Over the years, I have helped my father by attending and participating in puppy training classes, in order to train some of our numerous GS', the most recent being our 20th puppy, Bruce (see gallery). We have also since given a home to our most recent recruit, a beautiful black Groenendael rescue called Tara.
I am blessed to own a cracking little Burmese boy and two chocolate point Siamese girls. Throw in a couple of rabbits for good measure (Gin & Tonic – mum’s idea of names, that one) and some goldfish along the way. Safe to say that I truly am an animal lover.
I have been horse riding in Epping Forest since I was 6 years old, plus dog walking and running combined for the best part of 38 years , therefore very knowledgeable on its terrain, tracks, routes and surrounding roads.
25 years working in the financial markets in the City did not give me the time to do what I love the most..... Walk dogs and care for cats.
Its really that simple! I chose to follow this dream and passion of mine because I love dogs, cats and I love being outdoors. I am a keen twitcher and lover of nature and always have been, since I was a kid. I can't get enough of being out in the fresh air, even through all the rain and mud - I have always been the same. I remember sitting on top of the muck heap up (on a plank of wood) at Pine Lodge, burying my feet, purely to keep them warm - much to the disgust of my brother who used to pick me up in his new car.
Since its original launch in August 2013,Cookie's Pet Patrol has received continued support from its regular clients, in addition to ongoing enquiries made by recommendation. A reputation for loving and loyalty has been gained since its formation. (Many thanks for all your support).
A passion for loving and caring for animals is something that I inherited from my mother, Brenda who has now joined me at Cookie's Pet Patrol. Between us both, let us
look after your much loved cats, dogs and puppies.
Delighted, pleased and so happy that my lovely friend Becky Rodriques has also decided to join me and mum at Cookie's Pet Patrol. I have known Becky for many years, she owns a beautiful horse called Alfie (see below picture) and that's how we became friends, through our love and passion for horses. Becky also has her own little Pommie called Bailie and much like me and mum, has owned and been surround by dogs all her life.
We are all reliable, loving, honest, affordable, experienced, insured and trustworthy.
